Uttdrag ur min uppsats om Cindy Sherman's bilder som jag lade upp häromdagen:

Första bilden: "One image shows an upper-class woman standing in a bar with her hands confidently placed on her hips, slightly looking down on us with her heavily painted eyes. Her teeth look exceptionally white, and her lips unnaturally large. This middle-aged woman clearly spends time and money to keep up her appearance, but the effort itself becomes her biggest flaw."

Andra bilden: "Another image shows a woman in what appears to be a wig, looking off-camera with a scared expression on her oddly painted face. Her reddened eyes look wary and her position looks like she is ready to flee at any time."

Tredje bilden: "The most striking image in the series shows a woman smoking a cigarillo, squinting at the camera with her thin lips frowning. She is obviously not comfortable having her photograph taken and keeps her arms in front of her as a shield. The turtle neck sweater, with sleeves that cover most of her hands, further indicates that this woman is protecting herself from something. She wants to keep us out, but interestingly enough she is the one we see most up close. Her eyebrows are badly plucked with few hairs pointing out in the wrong places, and then filled in with a make-up pen, that gives her face an unnatural look."
